Founder, The Ove Collection
What does “home” mean to you these days?
Joan: Home to me is fluid, not rigid. It is a place that gives me comfort, where I’m just me being myself and in my element.
How are you spending your time at home or finding more joy in the moments you spend at home now?
Joan: I normally spend time exploring new experiences, finding new things to do around the house, such as tending to my plants, arranging flowers and art.
Is there a piece of jewellery that you wear even when you’re at home? Or is there a precious stone that most accurately epitomises the feeling of home to you?
Joan: I like Tanzanite. The colour is light and fluid, it makes me feel really relaxed. It’s also mined only in an area and not so common or mass produced, so it also feels personal, like the piece of jewellery truly belongs to you.

What does “home” mean to you these days?
Charlene: My definition of “home” has changed tremendously ever since the whole pandemic started. Now, home represents a place where I spend the most time. A place where I live, learn, rest and work, but most importantly, a place where I create great memories with my loved ones.
How are you spending your time at home or finding more joy in the moments you spend at home now?
Charlene: With more time spent at home, I’ve picked up a few more hobbies and even learnt how to create Jesmonite objects, which I have an immense penchant for now.
Is there a piece of jewellery that you wear even when you’re at home? Or is there a precious stone that most accurately epitomises the feeling of home to you?
Charlene: I wear a jade bangle at home regularly. I’ve never been a fan of jade even though I used to follow my aunties and my mum to Chinatown to their jeweller to see jade pieces almost every weekend. This jade bangle I bought myself is a regular reminder to myself that I’m surrounded by loved ones, and that no matter what happens in life, family is always important.

What does “home” mean to you these days?
Stephanie: It’s a place where I work, entertain, rest and work out. It’s all-encompassing, and the truth is, there really isn’t much other option. I’m grateful for a cosy home and space.
How are you spending your time at home or finding more joy in the moments you spend at home now?
Stephanie: I’ve always loved being home. I guess being able to work with my animals around me, and have my child around between breaks are a bonus. I have adopted more home workouts and that’s super convenient.
Is there a piece of jewellery that you wear even when you’re at home? Or is there a precious stone that most accurately epitomises the feeling of home to you?
Stephanie: Mostly just my earrings, I don’t ever remove them.
