Celebrate you. Back your own dreams, and be one of the crazy ones who believes that you can make a dent in the world.
On May 3, one of our favourite collaborators CRIB — a social enterprise that empowers women to do just that; to become successful entrepreneurs — gathered some of the most accomplished and feted ladies under one resplendent, chandelier-ed roof at The Shangri-La Singapore. The occasion: The CRIB Ball gala dinner, an annual soirée that honours strong female role models, inspiring stories and the entrepreneurial spirit. Perhaps more importantly, it also raises funds and awareness for causes that benefit society and the disadvantaged.
This year, all funds raised at the ball’s silent and live auction will not only go towards strengthening CRIB programs for women entrepreneurs, but also to its beneficiary charity, EmancipAction — an international, non-profit organisation working to disrupt the business of child sex trafficking. EmancipAction aims to bring freedom, healing and justice to hundreds of thousands of young women and children who have been abused and exploited to fill a growing demand for commercial sex, starting from its home base in India.

When CRIB approached The Canary Diamond Co with this meaningful opportunity to collaborate by way of designing and sponsoring a piece of jewellery for the auction, we went right to work.
And now, we are both very pleased and proud to unveil this one-of-a-kind, extraordinary ring worth S$37,500. Housed in a design that marries hints of Art Deco notes with an elegant timelessness, the ring showcases a breathtaking 1.4-carat fancy intense yellow VVS1 cushion-cut diamond, accented by a halo of yellow brilliant round diamonds.
